Iris

My favorite color is this iris flower. It has a beautiful shade of lavender with a creamy yellow center.

Petals of a Water Apple

The petals fall just before the fruit starts to grow. The color left on the ground is a bright, florescent pink. The first time I saw it I had to touch it to verify that it was naturally that color. I love water apple season here in Costa Rica. The fruit is also known as a wax apple.

Word to your Mum

These colorful magenta mums were taken in Southeastern Indiana. The climate in the area lends itself to beautiful colors & many varieties of plants and flowers. The winter is normally just cold enough to provide mums and other perennials time to build back up their nutrient reserves.

We just had to post a fireworks picture being that it is the 5th of July. I like that this one took the shape of a big, dinnerplate dahlia.
