That's why we pray, Mantis


In macro photography lighting is everything. This guy was just walking around in the backyard. My husband approached him with a model release form and the rest is captured forever in this stunning photo.

Smoke Animal


This is a picture designed with incense cone smoke. You take the incense cone & place it in front of your camera then take color gels & place them in front of your lighting (in this case a a very bright one), make the rest of the room dark & then shoot. Your picture will be one plume of smoke. You will need to flip the photo to get the effect you see in the picture. The animals reminds us that we are all carbon.

The Photographer


A photographer is always in search of the best light. In this case it found him. This picture was taken in an abandoned powder factory in Maineville, Ohio. The facility has been padlocked since then. It was a great place to capture unusual textures and beautiful light.
