The Buck-moth stops here.

This guy found his way to the lily to bask in the pollen. Actually, that is not what catepillars do we just placed him here so that we could get some great colors and show off his spikes. We gave him a piece of lettuce for his time and set him on his way after about an hour. Hopefully we will get a shot of him after he's undressed.

Buff throated Saltator

Originally placed in the Cardinalidae (Cardinals & Gosbeaks) this bird seems to be more at home in the Tanager family (Thraupidae). I don't know any of this for myself I just look stuff up and regurgitate it, just like a bird.

Iris

My favorite color is this iris flower. It has a beautiful shade of lavender with a creamy yellow center.

They called me eight eyes in school

So the title is not all that great but it's all I could come up with. Kids used to call me four eyes in 6th grade so at least it means something to me. This nursery web spider has eight eyes & eight legs. It carries it's little spider babies in its jaws and then creates a beautiful web for them to hatch in. They are very protective mommies.
