Virgin Falls, Sparta, Tennessee
Sparta Tennessee is a little town in the middle of Crossville and Cookeville. It has a gas station, a library and a car dealership. As you drive down Route 127 you will see mobile homes that need some welding done as well as sturdy brick tri levels. This area doesn't appear exceptionally beautiful from the road but when you take a right or a left depending on what you want to see there are beautiful cascading waterfalls and vistas that will knock your sandals off. This is Virgin Falls. It's approximately a 5 mile drive off of 127 and a 5 mile hike in and totally worth it.

Zion National Park, Utah
Zion National Park, Utah was just about everything that you could want in an U.S. National Park. The camping facilities were well taken care of including always having toilet paper in the flush-able commmodes. The bus system that takes you through the park was the best idea that I saw in any of the U.S. parks and it was only in Zion. No yucky cars and traffic like in Yellowstone and recorded tapes took you back in time and informed you about the animal life in the park.

Moonbow
There are only a few places in the world where you can witness a moonbow like this one. This is in Corbin, KY at Cumberland Falls. This is a long exposure taken under a full moon at approximately 11pm. The naked eye generally just shows the moonbow as white but a long exposure captures the colors.

Slide, Baby Slide

You too can find this. After a 30 minute hike from a spectacular vista, high on the Western side of the Talamanca Mountains in Costa Rica. It's a naturally formed slide that leads the rider to a dip into a turquoise pool that is deeper than 10 feet. The water is crystal and the white-throated capuchins watch from high in the treetops. I know this for a fact because I was there yesterday and have a future invitation to return! Eeeeee (like a school-girl).

Virgin Falls TN

This waterfall is a beauty. It takes 4 hours just to get to her. Her beginning is a cave opening and her end is another cave. The water seems to come out just to get touched by light and then disappears back to solitude. It is a must see. To see more pictures of Virgin Falls you can go to Hovlandphotography.com under places TN.
