Zion National Park, Utah

Zion National Park, Utah was just about everything that you could want in an U.S. National Park. The camping facilities were well taken care of including always having toilet paper in the flush-able commmodes. The bus system that takes you through the park was the best idea that I saw in any of the U.S. parks and it was only in Zion. No yucky cars and traffic like in Yellowstone and recorded tapes took you back in time and informed you about the animal life in the park.

Bryce Canyon - Utah

Way high up in Utah there is a place that looks like this. It's magnificent. There are some great hikes also, just be prepared to be tired. What goes down must come up as the parking lot is at the top!

Double Arch with Star Trails

Double Arch is in Arches National Park, Utah near Moab. This shot was taken at midnight. This arch configuration is huge and it is a fun test to see how much sky you can get behind the scene without hanging from a bungee cord. This is one of the most popular angles. We have seen similar angles before but there is nothing like making one for yourself.

Utah's Arches NP

The U.S. portion of our trip may be over but the images are still being processed. We received a lot of RT's on our previous sunbursts and we hope that you like this one as well. Remember that the secret of sunbursts is F22. As a photographer, you must always go early and stay late. The sun rises early and so should you.

This is Utah's Arches National Park. The entire park is filled with inspiring places and views. For Christmas, get your family a National Park Pass that will make it easier for you to get up and get out.

Canyonlands - Mesa Arch

This is an early morning shot of Canyonlands National Park's famous Mesa Arch. There was a long line of photographers waiting for the sun to come up. They were just as interesting as the scenery.

Sunrise at Mesa arch in Canyonlands National Park

This was taken yesterday morning around 7:45 am at Canyonlands National Park in Utah. It's early November so the sun is in a different place and rises much later. Canyonlands NP is just a short distance from Arches National Park in Eastern Utah. It makes for a wonderful few days. The food and beer in Moab makes for an all around good vacation spot.
