The North Carolina side of the Great Smoky Mountains. This overlook is a short distance across the state line and close to Newfound Gap Road.

Florida's burrowing owls have tacky neighbors. These neighbors feel the need to create a garbage pile around the owls holes. Just go to a Florida neighborhood in which the owls are living and you will see that the people have decorated their holes with American Flags, fake flowers and Ribbons. I guess it welcomes the owls to the neighborhood?
