Star Trails in KY

Very colorful star trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. I will focus on Kentucky pictures for the next few days because we are starting our road trip and leaving KY forever.

It's raining stars

This image was taken under a natural arch in Daniel Boone National Forest Kentucky. The light of the campfire enabled us to see the arch in the foreground as we left the shutter open for an extended period in order to get the star trails in the sky. You can also see a campfire on the opposite ridge.

Star Trails in Red River Gorge

The tree in the foreground was painted with light as the star trails were captured in the background. Red River Gorge Geological area is in Eastern Kentucky.
