HELP

People don't usually pick these strawberry dart frogs up but this lady didn't seem to mind. She says that she has somehow become immune to the sticky poisonous mucus that covers the frogs. You can also look up blue jean frog to find out more about these guys.

Strawberry Poison Dart Frog

These little girls are at home in the cool underbrush of the forest floor until it comes time to protect their babies. Then they will climb high into the treetops and deposit eggs into water droplets for hatching. I learned all of this from the documentary film "Life" which is a wonderful watch.

Poison Dart Frog

This Strawberry Poison Dart frog is also known as the Blue Jean frog because her legs are blue. They have a toxic outer coating that will temporarily stun a predator, a bird or cat, etc. They are not large enough to be a bother to humans but you wouldn't want to pick one up and then rub your eyes. These little guys and gals are just hopping all over our farm.

It wears poison as a coat

This cute little bugger is known as a poison dart frog, a blue jean frog and a strawberry dart. These amazing frogs will carry their babies high up into trees where they plop them into an open flower that has filled with water as a protectionary measure. You can find them hopping happily throughout Central America with the exception of highly toxic area's where chemicals have been sprayed.
