Ice Crackin'

This is Ice Crackin Lake in the lake region of Minnesota. This reflection makes it hard to decipher where the reeds stop and where the reflection begins.

Hand dried wild rice

Wild rice in Northern Minnesota is by law picked exclusively by Native Americans and then hand dried on this family farm using the original fire and constant movement method.

Simplicity

Wild grasses and reeds are abundant in Lake Country Minnesota. This image is the reflection of a few strands of grass reflected on the outer borders of Ice Cracking Lake. If you look deeper there are also reflections of the clouds and the underwater life so in this images' simplicity there is also a complex pattern structure.

Fall Berries

These berries were on a small, stout bush in Minnesota Lake Country. I have no idea what color they are in the summer but fall brings out the milky, white beauty.
